Making a schedule

I need to work harder on creating a schedule that works and that I can stick to!

That is my current goal. It would make my days run smoother and better. I will be back posting mine once I work it out!

Loving the home you are in

We all seem to want a bigger place: bigger house, bigger yard, bigger everything...So much so that we lose focus on what we already have and how enjoyable it could be.

For modern people nowadays, home is where they sleep after work and not much else. The thought of having a homemaker that takes care of the home seems of no use. Many women (and men!) are lost and confused on how to take care of a home (including myself!) as no one really showed them how to do it and how important it is.

It doesn't have to cost much at all to decorate a home that you have fun living in. I hate to compare the present with the past again, but it seems like there was a better pride to go with homemaking before it became associated with negative terms.

So I am continually learning and thinking of ways to improve my skills and challenge myself. Some jobs might be annoying to do, but the satisfaction of having a clean and cozy home is worth it at the end of the day!

I'm back! I was very sick for a while and I just lost focus on my own homemaking and blog. My apologies to my readers!

It is amazing how mamy times I have been insulted for not holding a job. I think I sometimes let that affect me and my husband is there to remind me that they are just wrong and insecure about themselves. We are all unique individuals and have our own definitions of happiness.

So anyway, I was planning on going food shopping today when it occured to me that I still have ingredients to make meals out of even though it's been almost two weeks since I've last shopped! It is important to stretch it out instead of wasting food. Good for the budget! I meal plan too but it never is planned perfectly as portions get smaller or bigger. What I love to do is just make one or two meals that last a while with few ingredients, like a meal soup or pasta to be reheated. It saves money and time.

Wnat about you? What are your meal planning tips?
